Applebee's, Chicago, Illinois Restaurant Details

Food:

i had the shrimp and sirloin and my wife had the baby back ribs . we will start with mine the steak was over cooked , and chewy the shrimp was also over cooked . my wifes ribs were unusually fatty . i have eaten here many times and this was the first bad experience . but now my wife doesn't want to go back . when we said something to the waitress she was very rude , sorry Applebee's I think you lost us

I asked the server in advance to please gather some of their staff to sing happy birthday for my cousin, they completely ruined the special-ness of what I was trying to do. 3 servers approached the table and just dumped this tiny cake slice on in front of ME (not my cousin), like it was a regular order, didn't even sing, and they walked off. I was so upset, walked up to the server whom I asked for the favor and asked what happened, she said the server did not know. how is it that difficult to understand?? they preceded to try to fix the damage by singing once we were already leaving, my cousin was so confused. very disorganized staff. I was so embarrassed and upset that it didn't go as planned...

2 for $20....if you're expecting 5 star quality service when the place is serving 2 for $20 specials you are a dope. Dennis rocks btw

I will never come back to this place. Very small portions and poor customer service. Waitress look as she just roll up from bed and put the shirt from the day before with stains. In a not so busy day we waited a long time for our food. Kids meal look more for like a 3 year old. Tenders look like nuggets and we counted 12 fries in their plates. My Salmon look more like a Tilapia and didn't look nothing like the picture in the menu. Waitress didn't take the time to explain menu. Once she brought my husband's burger when he saw how small it was, and again didn't look like the picture in the menu. She then asked him, "Did you wanted lettuce and tomatoes on your burger, that was optional". Very disappointing this is the closest restaurant from my house only 3 blocks away. I rather drive 6 miles to my nearest Chili's.

Food:

It was a very good place but the wait was to long and is not a good place for parents by themselves to come. Other than that it is a very good place.
