I have been here twice in the last couple years and both times the food was so bad I was shocked.
The first time I stopped in with my daughter and I ordered a seafood meal. I am a seafood lover and I thought it looked right up my alley. Let me state I am not a picky eater. The food smelled and tasted off right away. I tried but my tastebuds told me no way. I polietly placed my napkin over the offencive food and allowed my daughter to enjoy her food. I tipped well and went out as hungry as I entered.

Today I was with a friend and I told her about the experince. She said that happened a while ago and we should try a leap of faith. Let me say she is very very picky and has no problem letting servers know when things are not right.

The hostess sat us and talked so fast about the days specials there is no way you could even understand what she was saying. She has a calling in rap music. I ordered a Pepsi and my friend a Diet. She is a diabetic. The hostess brought our drinks and set them down and when we asked her which was which she acted like we were somehow supposed to know. My friend said it is hard to tell they look a like. She drank a good part of her soda before I ever tasted mine, only to find out I had diet.
Finally a frazzled man came by and told he was the server and told us he would be right with us.
He was prompt and took our orders.
Sometime later he came out to tell us there was a mishap in the kitchen and our food would be out soon. No big deal...
Sometime later another girl cam out and placed metal pan with my friends wings in the center of the table and left no fries.... just wings.... and not my food.
My friend asked should she eat I told her yes of course... go ahead.
Later yet another girl brought out my soup and sandwich. Not my friends french fries.

My sandwich was a half of sandwich so large I couldn't possibly bite into it... not even if I smashed it down. It was some sort of old lunch meat that was in a squshed congealed mess with a pink tomato and thick toast and rancid bacon. OLD BACON I don't know where they got it.
The Soup on the other hand was called a Tomato Basil. There are no words...but I will try. This was thick vomit like substance that was cold. like it came out of the fridge. It was topped off with cheese.
I took two spoons and it did not get better or warmer. I placed a napkin over my food and pushed it aside.

Her fries still didn't show up. Someone from the kitchen showed up to talk to peopl at the table two in front of us. Then the waiter came and asked us if everything was okay. I asked him if he could just remove the fries from the bill. He asked "The fries never came out?" Nope.
Then he went to talk to the elderly couple at the table in front of us. To adjust their bill.
Then he moved these little computer things around that sat at the tables and stated that they were all wrong. We have no clue. We had no idea why they were on the tables.
He came back and told us our food was free.

I told him I still need to tip him. I felt there was no reason to take it out on him.

Service CONFUSING. Too many people and not enough service.
Food AWFUL. The worst I have ever has any place ever.
My friend's behavior 5 stars...very well behaved. I am proud of her.

I'm not going to say i hated eating here because the food was good but the service along with these presto machines are just the dumbest idea ever, it doesn't seem like it's needed at all the. For example i press the button on the screen to get a refill and the waiter comes to me like 10 mins later asking if i need anything like really though come on now what's the point of it by the time i got my food i had already drank about 4 glass of tea. Applebees y'all need to step it up big time

Typical Applebee's. Hit or miss with the staff. New menu is not an upgrade.

worst food i ever had in my life had the ribs hard as bricks throw them away had the 2 for 25 my freind had the steak not good would have sent it all back had to go to work told manger he did not care i can see why you guys are not like you use to be ill be happy whan you close the doors and a new place can serve good food
