Applebee's, Columbus, Ohio Restaurant Details

Food:

Most Ghetto Applebee's I've ever been to in my life. We eat at different Applebee's all over the U.S. n this was by far the worst.

The food was good, my waitress was good, but all some of the other workers did was stand around fighting, cursing, and yelling.
All together, not a great place by Any means.

Omg they suck terrible place they need to shut it down especially the Gm just talking and on her phone I think they call her Cinda and there's other creep Ricky paniagua

I would leave no stars if I could. This place is awful. I've been watching my server sit on here phone in the corner talking to people. She hasn't come back to any of her tables. It took me half an hour to choose from the menu because there's not a lot of selection in my opinion. I've been waiting 15 minutes for a refill. This is ridiculous.

I wrote this all out on Applebee's contact us form on their website, since as a fellow marketer I prefer customers not to air bad experiences in public, but their form failed to capture my complaint. This location clearly has a managerial problem, as the level of ineptitude across all the staff cannot simply be isolated incidents.

First, let's start with timing.

Took us 10 minutes of standing at the front door to put our name in. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived at 9:04pm. They did not write our name down, they simply told us "we'll be right with you". So we waited. And waited. Eventually the manager and hostess came back and the hostess asked "who was here next", obviously we were, so we raised our hands and finally got seated. Alright, so five minutes pass. No waiter. We get up and are about to leave when the waiter finally shows up. At this point my friend I was with, a former Applebees employee, had said at least ten times "I would have been fired for that".

Next, let's get to food.

So we begin to order. We each wanted 14 or so boneless wings, and after ten, boneless wings are 50 cents in any quantity above ten, as the menu explains a minimum order of ten. According to our waiter, you can only order wings in quantities of ten (10, 20, 30), which is clearly incorrect. Alas, his loss on the tip as we each only order ten. We also order two appetizers.

31 minutes pass, we timed them.

The appetizers and food all come out the same time. Cold. We're too tired of their pitiful service to complain, you can see the rage grow on my friends face, who is both angry and embarrassed for this location. Even if we wanted to complain, the manager is too busy talking to the Columbus police officer near the door to care. We eat about half the food and decide to leave.

We tipped well, because at this point, when you fail on all levels, it's managerial and not the fault of the waiter.

If you like to wait long periods of time, cold food, and the frustration of just sitting and waiting when a restaurant isn't busy, I'd recommend this Applebees. We'll never go back.
