Applebee's, Durham, North Carolina Restaurant Details

Food:

Well, I read the reviews, but we had a gift card, so I decided that despite the previous reviewers, I'd give it a shot at no loss to me.

As it turns out, the service was prompt, the waitress wonderful, the drink special not outrageous for that restaurant tier, and the food was just fine. I had a hamburger with all of the "fixings" and my wife had fish. I don't know what everyone was fussing about. It turned out to be a pleasant meal.

It's not a gourmet restaurant, and it's not supposed to be. It's a comfortable chain, and they pulled it off just fine.

Food:

Incredibly slow boring and disorgnized. We get there and our waitress gives us one kids menu to share, doesn't return for like ten solid minutes; never brings the kids drinks; after 30 minutes we ask for bread to hold us over, after 30 minutes we get tortilla chips. I sat for 45 minutes staring at other customers starring at me. At least the food was good.

The manager has a bad attitude.
