Applebee's, Kansas City, Missouri Restaurant Details

Food:

Ordered carside to go. Told it would be ready at 5:50. Thirty minutes later, we were still waiting for our food. In the car. We would have just left, but with To Go orders you have to prepay.

The Napa Chicken with Portabellos contained exactly zero portabella mushrooms. Instead, it had the generic supermarket white mushrooms. It also was lacking the red wine sauce. The vegetables tasted like they were microwaved, and clearly weren't grilled.

My wife's steak was cook properly. But was utterly bland, and devoid of all flavor. It tasted like it came out of a Foreman grill.

It was incredibly ho hum. I won't be back.

30 minutes for basic appetizer chicken wings and a kids macaroni and cheese on lunch...... Give me a break. Also raw chicken breast was in my wings. Just don't go here.

Good service, good food, love the local selection. One of my favorite takeout places.

Slow with poorish service at lunch. Like 15 minutes wait to get a drink order. Downhill from there.

I did have a bit of a dirty fork. Didn't tell them about the dirty knife.

We had lunch here and the place as empty, maybe a bad sign. Three of us ordered the lunch combo and one order came out wrong. My girlfriend said her flatbread tasted sour and the avocado on my sandwich was definitely a few days past due. I'd complain about the portions but it's probably better that we had to waste less food. Two stars instead of one because the server was very helpful.
