Applebee's, Kansas City, Missouri Restaurant Details

ASK FOR THOMAS G!!
Don't usually dig Applebees, but we decided to eat here today, expecting the worst due to reviews. We actually had a great experience! Our server was named Thomas and he was one of the best servers I've ever had. He took time to get to know our kids names and remembered them, and his pleasantness was genuinely contagious. I have never posted a review before but I really felt like saying that this guy deserves a promotion. If not from Applebees, at least ask for him when you go in!

Food:

Food was good but we received the wrong food then our drink refills were wrong. Staff lazy and too busy talking to each other to do quality customer service. Overheard the manager screaming at some of the staff in the kitchen upon arriving. Definitely not coming back to this location.

The service was horrible. We sat there dorm an hour. The waitress was rude. The host was rude.and then they refused to serve us. They deserved to get cussed out there was no reason for them to be rude to us in the first place. We had the right to get rude right back.

Food:

Got my take out order wrong (completely missing a side dish that was clearly on the receipt). I called to complain and was told it was likely a computer error (obviously a lie). After being put on hold for several minutes, a manager got on the phone, took my personal information, and said she would send me a gift card. A month later, and I have never received anything from them. I guess it's not surprising that I didn't get the gift card -- poor service seems to be a theme with this place. They basically failed at every possible opportunity.

Food:

This is some bullshit the ppl are very rude and the food is nasty I didn't tip the waitress she was mean and I wouldn't go to the one on state line becuz this one is horrible smh don't go here!! And when I first came in the door we had to find ourselves our seat becuz they acted like they didn't see us.
