Applebee's, Kansas City, Missouri Restaurant Details

A bit overpriced. I think the service is fine.

Labor Day weekend- Sat nite- I am a frequent and long time customer at the above location and most of the time the service and food there is satisfactory.
I took a neighbor tonight and ordered a Chop Salid and BLT. The place was not crowded. It took forever to get the food.
The BLT was the WORST BLT I have ever tried to eat. The bacon was old, cooked much earlier and
like eating shoe leather. The whatever it was on the sandwich had a stench to it. Needless to say I
left most of it. The Chop Salad ( one of my favorites ) had NO DRESSING and was dry as a bone. Had been there an hour. When the server finally stopped by the table I told her the food was NOT EATIBLE AND SHE SAID " i'll tell the manager. I paid the $ 24.00 plus $ 4.00 tip and left to go up the street and eat at Mc Donalds Drive Thru.
The food is piss poor for the money and probably fixed somewhere else, frozen and microwaved. Just plain garbage. Ruined the evening .. Last trip to Applebees.
I might add. It's difficult for older people to read the menu prices and description.

First problem was food i ordered wasn't correct ,My sons chicken was more like charbroiled chicken....The door greeter was bossy. I had to walk up to the bar to pay & i had to ask for some more ice tea...... And I must say the place wasn't very clean ...

The food is top notch and the service is great. I hardly have to be in there more than 10 second and a host is already attending to me. It's just a little too expensive especially if you are bringing a family.
