Applebee's, Kansas City, Missouri Restaurant Details

Love Applebee's food. The service at this location sucks usually there is a couple great waitresses I've had. Today me and a friend and my 1 year old went at 930 pm. P
Sat down got greeted and for our drinks. Our waiter NEVER came back to get our order 15 min we sat and waited while he pranced and played around ignoring us. We eventually became annoyed watching him play around and ignore us we had to get up and walk away. Done with this Applebee's.

This place could not be any more pathetic and is a black eye on the Applebee's chain. If it weren't for the fact that is was a three minute drive from my home, I would never go there; but now, I don't think I'll ever go back. It has always been mediocre: dirty silverware, glasses, tables, bathroom. Last night, after a snow storm the place was dead, so they stuck us with a trainee who couldn't have been more annoying AFTER we'd finished our food. She started swarming around the check like a winter fly, probably to replace the ones they have in summer. They ripped us off for two glasses of wine: we ordered the 'best value' size and they just brought us a glass anyway after telling us 'they no longer carry' their lowest priced wine. I ordered a simple burger and fries: the burger was okay but the fires were cold and so covered with salt I would swear they were planning on me not eating them so they could use them to melt the ice in the parking lot. If I could put foul language in here I would, I am that fed up with the place. Whoever owns this franchise should have their ownership revoked, the building bulldozed and an Arby's put in.

Called in a Carside to go (so many rings I thought I was going to voice mail). Ordered Thai Shrimp Salad. "It will be 12 minutes, Ma'am" Great!! It will take about 12 minutes to get there from work. I get there, I called in, to let them know I was there. They informed me they would bring my food out!. 15 minutes later still no waitress/waiter. I drove off very dissappointed. One hour after initial phone call(they asked for my phone #), and still Applebees hasn't tried to contact me to ask why I didn't pick up my order.

Me and my boyfriend are ALWAYS eating out and typically we go to Chili's because it is a great value and you get big portions, so big i always need to request a to-go-box!

But we wanted to go outside of the norm and tried Applebee's. It wasn't horrrrrrible but it wasn't great either. We did the two for twenty and it was not a good value, their were very limited choices and the portions were small and the food wasn't that good. Its close to where we live but Chili's on Barry Road near Zona is DEFINITELY, worth the drive (:
