09/16/2012 9:37 pmWe were at this Applebee's today and everything was fine until I found a folded piece of paper in my Oriental Chicken Salad. When I brought the server over she was very apologetic, brought the manager over who said they would comp me my salad and give me another one. I said thank you and asked that since some time had passed that they please bring me the salad in a to-go container because we had to leave. I checked the salad when I got home and they didn't give me any dressing for the salad! So now I have a dry salad. I called them and they said I could come and get some dressing, but the restaurant is out of my way, so I declined. They did offer to send out some coupons as an apology, but I'm a little tired of the apologies piling up on one another. We went there because my mother-in-law had a gift card. But I doubt I'll go there again. |

06/16/2011 1:37 amThe guy who answered the phone for carside to go was extremely rude and gave me attitude right away when I asked if I could sub anything in on the 2 for $20 deal. He talked to me like that was the dumbest idea ever and then when I began to order, the menu I was using online wasn't correct and he again, in a condescending tone, asked if I was even looking at a menu or if I didn't want the 2 for $20 deal anymore. When I began to explain the menu I was looking at showed different items, he continued to interrupt me, re-reading the menu to me several times and talking over me until I finally requested someone else. I don't know what type of people they are hiring at the Applebees in Lincoln, NE but I do know this is the worst service I have ever seen from an Applebees. As someone not from this area, I automatically associate this type of service with the midwest, Lincoln, and the university of Nebraska. It's awful that that's how associations originate, but it's true and now if anyone ever asks me about people from Lincoln, NE or the university of NE, this will be the one opinion I have to remark on. |
