Applebee's, Minneapolis, Minnesota Restaurant Details

Food:

Got there 3 hours before closed. Ate and ordered a drink from the bar but was told it was closed. 3 people walked in right after this sat down at the bar and we're served after the bar tender removed the caps he had already put on the bottles. I then walked from my table to the bar and ordered a drink and was again told the bar was closed. I will never return to an Apple bees after seeing all your staff pick and choose who gets served. Apparently my buisness is not valued

Food:

Great food, HORRIBLE SERVICE. I have never experienced such horrible hospitality. I myself am a waitress and I cannot imagine ignoring one table completely! Just because people look young does NOT mean they will not tip well! Always be on your A-Game and keep your customers at least some what satisfied. A spilled soda, which I had to find my own napkins to clean up, took forever to get our bill & we were never asked if our food was okay, we also needed refills! Disapointing!

One star is far too many. This was a terrible experience, on June 6th, 2014, myself and three friends went there for a beer and some half price apps. From the moment we sat down we were disrespected by the hostess, but we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. After our server took our drink orders he took forever to bring us two of our five beverages, then went to two or three tables before bringing another two. One of politely reminded him they had ordered a water as well as a beer, to which he rudely replied "I only have two hands..." So we ordered some food including "chili cheese nachos", and after eating a few we all noticed there could not have been less cheese on these things. So we politely ask the guy "shouldn't there be some cheese on these chili cheese nachos?" Then he tells us to lift a chip and look under it for the cheese, saying in a very rude and defensive tone "we don't load them with cheese".
We just laughed and he asks "so do you want some more cheese? That's all you had to say, man" Then he brings out a small cup of crappy, cold shredded cheese that we never used because the nachos just sucked so much (like the rest of the food) that they were not worth continuing to eat. The bill was $43.88, and luckily we had exactly $44 dollars so we could just leave that and get the heck out of there, but 12 cents was more of a tip than he deserved.

Awesome experience! Staff was very efficient and helpful, and always wore a smile. Great atmosphere, and the pace of service was perfect. I will definitely be back!

This place was very organized. The bartender (Natalie) was extremely friendly and ”on-point” with everything that was going on. On top of that, the hostess or manager, when I called to find out their hours, told me that they close the kitchen in 30 minutes from when I called in and took my simple order over the phone. Therefore, when I got there and sat down, they brought my food right to me! Extremely satisfied and I will DEFINITELY go back! Major Kudos!
