Applebee's, Rochester, New York Restaurant Details

Food:

The gf and I were given a gift card to Applebees (we would never go otherwise), so we figured we'd both have a beer and an appetizer at the bar and we should be good.....

Bar service was prompt and tenders were very friendly. Drinks were great- however the food was terrible. Both the gf and i have been up for the past 24 hours peeing out of our bottom-sides. The food did not look good- breading was falling off wings, which further our thoughts that it was frozen to begin with, and did not taste good either. Extremely greasy, and incredibly salty.

Having said that the food caused us to loose the majority of our stomachs over the last 24 hours, the service and drinks were good. If i were ever given another gift card, i would return for drinks only. Will never voluntarily pay money to return to this establishment however....

Food:

first off it took about 5 mins for someone to come and notice we were here to be seated, next the waiter started off ok but became more rude throughout the time here. he began by asking for drinks and my gf asked for some soup and walked away mid me asking for some soup as well. then he keeps running around passing our table, finally comes back with our water i ask for my soup yet again. he forgets who's soup is who's when it arrives. we finally place our entree order and ask for mozz sticks as an appetizer. when he comes back with the sticks im leaning over the table talking with my gf and he puts them in between us and startes to shake them in our faces knocks over a drinks menu as hes setting the sticks down and basically runs away from the table, no apologies or anything. the only good experience about coming to the Henrietta Applebees location was being with my girlfriend and the food was much better quality than the customer service! forgot to mention it wasnt even close to being busy.

Every time I go here the service sucks. Once I waited 20 minutes just to get a table when there were only three other parties there, and then even after that the service was slow. The management obviously doesn't care about the servers work ethic.

I had my worst dining experience in my life at this particular Applebee.

For starter, I ordered Spinach and Artichoke dip for appetizer. I also asked for a side of salsa and sour cream to come with it. It came with not much chips, the dip was cold, and they only brought salsa, no sour cream. Not pleasant with this, I called the waitress. She brought in a new one, the dip was hot, there were plenty of chips and sour cream came. So I let it go until my girlfriend finds a full length of PENNE PASTA in her SOUR CREAM!! Baffled by this, I asked for the manager and the manager came and he gave some sympathy but his reaction also appeared that he was not surprised by this. He happily made my appetizer free. He also said that he would make my drinks free- the dumbest mistake he made- I had a glass of water which is already free. This did not make me happier but I decided to let it go since my appetizer is free now right?

Well not until I got my meal. My girlfriend and I ordered the cowboy burger. I ate that many time in the past so I should know what to expect. It came with the burger being burnt, and well done while I asked for medium (pink center) and my girlfriend also asked for medium well (slightly pink center). The buns were overly toasted. The onions strings were not fried. The french fries were too crisp. My girlfriend and I did not finish our meal. The manger and the waitress and probably the cook already knew that I was not happy about my appetizer, and yet they did not pay attention to details. I was unpleasant about this. I didn't even bother asking for the manager again because it was just enough already and I didn't want to deal with them. I did give him a phone call few hours later giving him my piece of my mind. They were lucky that I was still wiling to pay for my meal but I am NEVER going back there ever again and I suggest that you don't. The manager and the employees have no attention to details. How the heck do you spoon up a spoonful of sour cream without noticing a pasta in there. How the heck do you miss out that the burger is too well done and the buns are burnt.

Just awful.

I went to Applebees in Henrietta, NY and had one of the worst experiences ever. My husband and I ordered an appetizer and our meal at the same time and received our meal before our appetizer. Our waitress checked on us once but never asked if we needed any refills on our drinks or not. She never once apologized for our wait or not bringing out our appetizer before our meal or anything. I also watched her attend to the table right behind us multiple times but then walk away without asking us if we were ok or if we needed anything. The food has not been that great anymore. The man who i believe is a manager at that restaurant is rude to some of the employees and i've seen him do some inappropriate flirting with some of the waitresses. I'm truly disgusted by this place and hope something happens to make this restaurant the way it used to be.
