Do not go to this Applebee's if you can avoid it. We sat and waited for over 45 minutes to get served here. And the place was not even busy! So we complained to the manager. His reply was: You should have told us you were in a hurry! What? Why do I need to tell you I would like at least half-way speedy service? I have been to places that were swamped with people and gotten faster service! I don't want to spend my life paying to wait to get served by people like you! We were almost ready to get up and walk out when the food finally arrived. The food was Ok. Nothing great. A tiny sandwich and a bowl of soup. It took 45 minutes for that. For the price, definitely not worth it. After taking so long for the food to arrive, I did not even have time to stay to get a second bowl of soup. At least then I would have had almost enough to eat. I would not recommend going here. Definitely not worth it.

This is just a general suggestion.
1. I avoid Applebees because you do not offer vegetarian choices \.
- you could just have a few veggie burgers around to substitute for for your hamburger offerings.

2. You only feature national brands of Beer. You should offer some local labels as well.

My Son, his Girlfriend and I, go here for lunch quite often, and each time, the service gets worse. First- the (HOSTESS) an older, dark haired woman has the personality of a wet washcloth and is rude. If you go in during lunch hour and sit in the bar area (Tall tables) you get the female bartender waiting the bar and tables, The PROBLEM, preparing drinks for all of the tables in the restaurant get priority. Leaving you, your drinks, and your food order and your order picked-up and delivered to your table while warm are put on the back-burner (No pun intended and not laughing out loud).. The saddest part, it usually isn't terribly crowded (that confirmed to us that others have experienced the same lousy service... On one occasion I had even asked to talk with the Manager (I never am one to make a fuss). The rude hostess got the manager, after explaining my food and drink concern with the manager, he apologized with a smirk on his face and then proceeded to share what he must have found to be a Humorous complaint , with our waitress-the female bartender, who both took humor of the complaint, not as a repremand and a problem that needed fixing. Can you say bad management and bad staffing... We love Applebee's food, but have decided that the drive to the Tempe location was worth the more enjoyable dining experience.
