Applebee's, Tampa, Florida Restaurant Details

Food:

Terrible experience!! If I could rate this a negative 5 I would! Told the waitress I was allergic to mushrooms and she was very sweet to ensure she wrote on the ticket that I was allergic so that they would not cook my food anywhere near mushrooms. When I received my lunch thank God I checked because there were mushrooms all inside my food! Brought it to the attention of my waitress and she was very apologetic and took it back ASAP and asked if I was ok. She then told me the manager would be right over and they would comp my meal. The manager took over 20min to come to my table and showed NO care in the world about what happened! His response when I told him his kitchen needs to be extra careful was "Oh yeah my wife is allergic to mushrooms"! I mean really??? Also I didn't realize this until after we left the person that I was with ended up paying for the meal which I think it is nonsense!!!! I called later that day and asked for the number to corporate and left a message for Regional/District manager. He contacted me back and I explained to him in detail what happened. He was very apologetic and told me he would address the situation ASAP and contact me back. Guess what??? NO Call back and still wasn't even offered any type of compensation! I WILL NEVER EVER go back to this location again and will make sure everyone knows the lack of professionalism this location holds as well as the cooks lack of attentiveness to their orders and the managers are far from managers!!! The ONLY person that deserves any type of credit to my experience was my waitress Johana!

Great staff, I have no issues with the waiters/waitresses, but Tony, the manager thats usually there Wednesday's is very rude and the food prep is terribly slow compared to other Applebee's. They also try to charge you full price for appetizers after 10pm sometimes when they're supposed to be half price.

WARNING: I contacted the Health Department this morning because my mother and I ate here last night. Within an hour my mother's blood Pressure was 202 / 112 and mine was 149 / 98 (and I have never had Blood Pressure problems). We complained to the management about how over-cooked the ribs were. They offered us more ribs, then wound up giving us coupons for our next visit. NOT GOING BACK! The service was slow. Had to ask three times for napkins. Didn't get a refill on my drink until they brought the check. I've eaten there many times, but usually eat the Napa Portabello Chicken. SUGGESTION: Avoid the ribs and expect slow service.

Food:

Great prices had the mac n cheese with honey pepper chicken it was delicious. Also if you come after 10pm its half price on appetizers with a purchase of any drink fill up on appetizers for great price. Its not small appetizers its like getting a meal. Never had a problem with this location. I have been 2 in the past month and never had a problem.

Went to eat and got seated waited almost 15 min to get a server to come over. Asked one of the waitresses and said they didn't know who's section it was. Finally Got a server. Service was very lousy took forever to get something you asked for. Got appetizers and didn't bring plates or extra napkins. Food was good thank god. But just bad service and organization. Never coming to this one again.
