Applebee's, Tampa, Florida Restaurant Details

Food:

One star is too much for this place. First, when we walked in it was little after 12:30pm. The place was rather empty, and we were shown booth to sit. Quickly I noticed how filthy the table and the bench seats were. The waiter offered another table, and it was in same filthy condition. After finally finding a decent table we were approached by a waitress who was reeking of cigarette smokes. That is not all, she brought plates, and I couldn't ignore her dirty finger nails filled with dirt. "She is touching our food?" The place is a mess. The young manager is unfit to run this place. He probably got the job because he was in same fraternity with regional manager or some sort. I can't believe this place is still in business. Unreal. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE.

I waited 50 min for a Swiss burger. Not a single apology was made.

FYI : To all guests, Applebees has extremely poor management to begin with and on top of it the managers themself are not good examples. I watched the GM Frank eat on the line and I have seen servers and management grab fries with their bare hands and put them on a plate. I have also witnessed servers eating off customers plates before taken to guest. The girls do not pull their hair back , I have seen servers hair hanging in plates before !!!They also do NOT understand when you are sick they still try and make you come to work with a fever etc. Even with a medical excuse I was let go. Unfortunately this restaurant is not what it can be and should be do to the poor management. They ran out of silverware not once but twice !!! How would you like to have a steak but cant cut into for 5 mins because your server had to wash your silverware? Again the management is extremely poor. I am taking my issue to corporate with a lawyer. I just want to warn people before you waste your hard earned $$ on a poor lunch or dinner. I used to love Applebees but after the things I have seen I will never eat there again.

Don't go here worst service ever!! We ordered to go and they gave us the boneless wings without sauce we ordered the steak and ordered a baked potato we were told they didn't serve baked potato anymore..so we opted out for mashed potatoes then we got mashed potatoes and an uncooked potato!!! Literally a potato on our plate that wasn't even cooked!! Our chicken was raw and the bruschetta steak with the portobello mushroom was over cooked even though said medium.. PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!

My server Brea was the most amazing server I have ever had. Everyone should go to see her. Other people were also friendly and the food was good.
