Went with a friend, we're young, and I'm black . We don't know exactly why, but they did not us grant us good service, and my friend was sneered at. We both definitely felt a judgmental vibe going in. Then, when the food came, I had a sandwich with Zucchini which, someone thought it would be a great idea to prepare it on a toasted baguette. Needless to say, the zucchini was sliding around as I fumbled to eat the bland sandwich. I ate one half of two, and asked for change because I was dissatisfied with the first half. It was not given. A note, I actually prepare food at an organic vegan smoothie shop, and if my customers are EVER dissatisfied, I prepare them a new smoothie, bowl, or juice that I'm proud of(and they leave satisfied). So, returning to Après Diem, i was unsatisfied and will not be going again. Another trope, that I am dissatisfied with is the French name, French impressionist artwork, and a picture of the Eiffel Tower in the store, yet an apparent absence of French speakers. If someone knows a francophonie who works at this establishment I will bump my review up to two-stars, but if not, they are hardcore posing/capitalizing off of a culture that is not theirs. (You can tell by the half-assed baguettes)

Je ne vais jamais retourner ici.

Other than an okay beer selection, this place stinks. The menu boasts "homemade caesar dressing and freshly baked croutons", but the kitchen delivers dressing from a bottle and croutons from a bag. Additionally, they are unable, or perhaps simply unwilling to accommodate food allergies.

Tucked in a little plaza, this place is a great spot to stop before heading to the movie theater next door or grabbing coffee/cake afterwards. Ambiance is pretty good and food is mediocre to good, but decently priced. I like that parking is fairly easy, which makes it a nice place to grab food on a rainy night in midtown.

Amazing little gem! The food is always great! It's a great lunch spot, food is always fresh, staff always friendly, and they're never too busy!

A great hidden gem in Midtown. Fresh food, good service, and a great place to meet before or after a movie at the Landmark Midtown Theater! I also love the outdoor patio! Great for people watching!
