03/14/2015 11:03 pmWE WENT TO AREO TO CELEBRATE A FREIDS BIRTHDAY. I SELECTED THE RESTAURANT FROM ITS EXTENSIVE MENU OF DELECTABLE SOUNDING ENTREES. WE HAD 3 DIFFERENT CHOICES OF FOOD. PASTA,MEAT, AND FISH. ALL WERE EXQUISITE PLEASING BOTH TO THE PALATE AS WELL AS TO VISUAL APPEAL. THE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD.IN CONCLUSION I HIGHLY RECOMEND. |

11/29/2014 5:46 pmWe ordered the fried zucchini and baked clams. I had the tuna with avocados, which was delicious. The fried calamari was delicious. It was not greasy, nor was it rubbery. It was very good. The meal was expensive but delicious. The waitstaff was very helpful. The water glasses were always full. Great service. I would recommend this Italian restaurant. |

12/02/2012 7:42 amThis place somehow strikes the balance between old-school Italian-American Bay Ridge and actual authentic Italian, although it leans toward the former. The menu is massive, but it's not over-saturated with those red-sauce favorites you've gotten tired of. Get the fried mozzarella appetizer, it isn't the kids' menu mozzarella sticks that your kid always gets with his chicken fingers. For entrees, they do lamb really well, especially the rack of lamb in a Merlot reduction sauce. There's an Italian way to do meat, and Areo knows how to do it. |
