Pizza was not bad, but I didn't realize they only have one pizza option per day. While it wasn't bad, my mushroom and leeks pizza was a no-sauce pizza, which was different than the red-sauce pizza I was expecting. I'll have to come back on a day where they are serving red-sauce pizza.

I love Arizmendi's. The pizza is delicious, as always. But I mostly love their variety of baked goods. I mean, if you're gonna fill up on carbs, might as well be the scones and muffins from Arizmendi's!

As a Cal student, I frequented Cheeseboard pizza. And I don't even like pizza! Arizmendi is the sister bakery/pizzeria to Cheeseboard, and I couldn't be happier that I don't have to trek all the way to Berkeley just to get my pizza fix. The bakery items are also delicious. They have a good selection, including vegan items!

Arizmend is brought to you by the same folks from Cheeseboard in Berkeley. It's alot more accessible since they offer Arizmendi in the Sunset and Valencia. The Valencia location is conveniently located near the 24th Street Bart station, offering different pizza flavors daily. Do note their pizza flavors are not online (only the Sunset location is listed online).

$20 for a take home pizza, and they also offer half baked pizza so you can take home and bake yourself! The pizzas are thin sourdough crust topped with fresh local vegetarian ingredients. One of my favorite go to spots in the Mission.

Amazing" fresh-out-of-the-oven breads, "the best scones ever" and "tantalizing" pastries (including vegan/gluten-free "goodies) tug at the heartstrings of the socially conscious carb lovers drawn to these individually run "hippie-dippy" Bay Area bakeries; there's no decor and only limited seating, but expect quick-moving lines of people queuing up for a cup of fair-trade joe and generous slices of daily vegetarian pizza that never fails to be deliciously interesting.
