Armadillo Grill, Raleigh, North Carolina Restaurant Details

I used Armadillo Grill to cater my husband's surprise birthday party last night. They did a fantastic job! The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The ordering process was very simple and I was able to change my headcount a couple times with no problems at all. The delivery and set up was very professional and the staff were great to work with!

I Just left this location. When I arrived, it had just started raining, and I had a TV in my car that I was taking to a friends place, about 3 blocks from this location. So I decided to ask the manager if she I could have a plastic trash bag. She replied, "we don't really have any trash bags….(pause). The ones we have are really big." So I was like thats what Im looking for. Then she said: "well they are really expensive trays bags." So I ordered my food and thought to offer to pay. So I said: "Can I buy one." The manager then stated: "I can't because I don't know what I would write in the paper for the bag."

I was to myself like: "Really smh." I mean, I really don't get not giving me a trash bag that def can't be more than 50 cent each, but to not even give me one when I offered to pay for it is ridiculous. You don't know what to write in the paper work for a trash bag? Really? How did you become a manager. I work at the Angus Barn Restaurant and I would be looking for another job if I told a guess that a trash bag was too expensive to give one to a patron. The owner of where I worked would have gave a trash bag and some tape.

It would be ok if this was the first time that Ive experienced poor hospitality in this place but its not. I bet the employees who work under this manager are miserable. Way too legalistic and robotic. Sometimes you have to think outside of the box. I would have given her 3 bucks for a bag had she offered, and instead of going there 3 times a week, I will limit it too when I am out drinking and starving at 2:00am

Food is just gross. Seriously people, have some standards. I prefer McDonalds to this crap. Such a sorry excuse for something labeled Tex-Mex. No flavor, overpriced.

Looking for a fast Tex-Mex meal? Take a stop here! The food is great, service is fast, and the bar offers a lot of choices. You might need to deal with the late-night college crowd if you go later in the evening, but it would be worth it. The price was also fairly cheap for the quality of food.

On a whim while looking for a quick bite in between things, I found Armadillo Grill. Thank you for a delicious steak and veggie burrito! I was impressed by the friendly staff and very quick service. My dinner was ready in 5 minutes. I will definitely return.
