It's a place to go to once for a special occasion and a romantic night out. I probably never go back due to the value. Service was GREAT! The piano was nice to hear while we were eating. The waitress tried to upsell us every chance she got, which was very annoying. Asking if I was ready for another alcoholic drink every 10 minutes. When I wanted to order just the main course she convinced me to get a salad for which they did not have ranch dressing. The salad consisted of green lettuce tossed in a very salty balsamic sauce; not what you would expect from a fine dining experience. The filleto di manzo was a 7/10 which I would say is the same anywhere else. The views are unmatched, so if you are looking for a nice night, go here for a drink and dessert. We will continue to go to Bern's for elegant nights out as it has incredibly more value for the price and experience.

you've probably heard of this place a hundred times.. maybe even been years ago (like myself) you really need to just go..or go back again... its not very expensive.. probably $30-50 if your not drinking.. small price to pay for pretty much best view.. italian food and service in the tampa bay area.. got a filet so perfectly prepared it drew a singlr tear from my eye.. almost made a scene and drank the lobster bisque right from the soup bowl.. wife had to talk me out of it..pretty much mind blowing tastey food all around.. im a italian food snob too.. owned an italian resturant for ten years.. always pissed about other italian resturants cuz i say "i can make this myself why am i paying triple to have someone else make it?" not armanis.. their food is on another level. just go there

Not the best Italian food; however, it was a little above average. The service on the other hand was outstanding. I have been here a couple of times and each time the service has been outstanding.

Pros:
1. Wonderful view. Check out the outdoor deck overlooking the bay, replete with fire pit and comfortable couches.
2. Friendly, competent wait staff.
3. Downstairs boardwalk into the mangrove coastal area. Hotel builder Jack Wilson received an award from the Audubon Society for preservation.
4. Delicious food.
5. Quiet, elegant setting.
6. Seldom a wait even without reservations (recommended though).
7. Free, convenient parking in the garage.

Cons:
1. A bit pricey. (The cold plate, which you can select yourself or have the chef do for you, is superb and affordable.)

Food:

A "commanding view" of Tampa Bay has long made this "elegant" dining room atop the Hyatt "a special place" for "romance or business" conducted over its "incredible but expensive" Northern Italian offerings, which include an antipasto bar that "can't be beat"; an "outstanding" staff can assist with the "excellent" wine list, adding to the "wow" factor, but, really, it's the "unequaled" view that makes for a truly "memorable evening"; P.S. it's "one of the few places in Tampa where people dress for dinner" (jacket and tie is suggested for gents).
