It's a really cute place, the service is great, it's BYOB, it's close by and near the Damen Brown and nearly all of the food we've ever had there is really tasty. But we don't go there that often because of one really bad dish (at least we didn't like it) - the blue crab salad. The staff was so proud of the blue crab salad, talked it up and really recommended it. I don't think it's usually on the menu - it was a special that night. Maybe you need to be Thai to appreciate it. If it weren't for that salad this would probably be a regular place for us, but the memory keeps us away.

Excellent Thai food! Everything on the menu is delicious, we have been numerous times and never been disappointed. Favorites:Thai Grilled Appetizer, Grilled Pork Neck Salad and basically all Curries.

Aroy Thai does not cater to allergies in any way whatsoever. I am allergic to nearly everything except the Beef & Broccoli. I was at the restaurant once, and will never go back. If you are allergic to nuts, seeds, peanuts, or eggs, do not eat here. The best food that I have had here that I am not allergic to, is the rice. In addition to not being able to handle allergies, the workers have so much trouble understanding English over the phone, that they couldn't figure out what my home address was after telling them repeatedly. Service is horrible over the phone and in person.

This might be a Thai food in the city hidden gem. It's small and very unexpected, but what you get is real and authentic all the way at Aroy. I've been here twice now and both times I've witnessed the place getting packed and tables turning over constantly.

It appears to be a mother/son ownership. From what I can tell, mom is in back doing the cooking and the son is out front of house, mingling with the customers, making recommendations and sharing his knowledge of the food and his background.

I appreciate the menu in it's way of dumbing down the culture and food for someone who doesn't know much about Thai food beyond pad thai and pad see eww. The menu is clever with it's pictures and ratings and actually takes it a step further by stating "if you like this, you'll like that". Brilliant! And the food has not disappointed yet!

If you're looking for something beyond the Americanized fare, Aroy has it all!
