02/11/2016 7:32 pmThe worst BBQ I've had in a long time! The ribs were boiled and then smoked. They were so hard and dry that I couldn't eat them. The burnt ends were hard and messy. This place came highly recommended, I was told presidents and dignitaries ate here. I'm neither President nor dignitary just a guy from Houston that's had BBQ all over the USA and this is right up there with the worst BBQ I've ever had! Don't waste your time or money going there! |

01/27/2016 3:39 amWe went to Arthur Bryant's because our friends we in town visiting from Wichita. We ordered burnt ends and brisket. All of the food was extremely dry and the burnt ends were hard as a rock. The beans were cold and the service was rude and slow. When we got home everyone had extremely bad diarrhea! We were horrified for bringing our friends there! |

11/29/2015 11:23 pmThis restaurant was just ok. In the past I've had Arthur Bryant's and it was really good. I'm unsure if it's something they are doing or if there is just better barbeque around. I've tried this restaurant in different locations in the past few months and can say that I probably won't have it again. There is just better barbeque in Kansas City. The restaurant itself was somewhat clean for the building it was in. The staff were nice enough, but the food was just ok. |

09/08/2015 2:31 amWe had house guests from Mississippi Gulf Coast visiting over Labor Day weekend. We took them to the Legends area on Sunday to show them what the Dotte has contributed to the Greater Kansas City area. They wanted some Kansas City bbq so we took them to Arthur Bryants. When we pulled in there were so few vehicles we thought it was closed. What a disappointment! The service was the worst and the ribs looked like something from an archaeological dig...so dry the bone marrow was black and snapped like a dry twig. The original flavored bbq sauce tasted like tomatoes sauce over seasoned with bbq spice. In all fairness I will say the coleslaw was good but I will never go there again and feel embarrassed that this restaurant represents Kansas City barbeque. Over priced, extremely poor service and the worst bbq I have tasted in years. |

05/30/2015 2:59 amLoved the ribs. Best smoke flavor from any place I've tried yet. The bread it was set on picked up the smoke flavor and was tasty. That was it, unfortunately. Burnt ends were not tender and lacked flavor. Pulled pork was bland. Sausage tasted processed, not like it had been mixed by hand, even in a large batch. Sides were the sides. Liked the big chunks of meat in the beans, but they tasted canned other than that. Coleslaw and potato salad were ok. A place I've always wanted to go to, but may not be back, unless I only want ribs. |
