These Italian standbys offer antipasti, pasta and mains that seem more imaginative than in the old days but remain predictably above average, and at reasonable price points to boot; it's easy to overlook the slightly dated decor what with the yummy food and service with a smile.

My husband and I were looking for a new place to eat and stumbled across this restaurant. We sat at the bar. We had awesome conversation with the bartenders. I ordered the pasta with a truffle sauce and my husband ordered the sausage pizza. RIDICULOUSLY GOOD! We were blown away and will definitely be back!!!

Delicious authentic italian experience just off the buzz from Hanover St in the North End. We came with large group before the Boston Marathon. They took reservations and we only had to wait about 10 min until our table was ready for 10 of us, mind you, this was the epic meca to get your carb loading and the place was a mob scene but you never felt that wasy or rushed once being waited on. The waiter even joked around with us and made pleasantries, you could really tell he enjoyed his job and made our experience that much better.

Great wait staff but I can do chick peas from a can much better. Avoid the lobster, shrimp, scallop dish... High price, so disappointed.

Food:

Order the veal parm sandwich to go. Eat it on the piers nearby watching ships and people go by. Phenomenal sub. Absolutely fantastic. What you expect from a great north end sandwich for overall quality and flavor. Wish they could mail me one a day for life as I live across the country now.
