05/12/2016 10:38 amThis review is long overdue. I stayed here with my husband for our one-year anniversary several years ago, and the staff was so attentive and at the same time not obtrusive. I was so pleased with the service we received here. If you are looking for an adorable boutique hotel that is of five-star quality, you have found the right place. Look no further! Maybe the SO will surprise me with it for our five year anniversary coming up soon (hint, hint!!). |

04/05/2016 5:26 amI attended a wedding reception at the hotel. The room was nice and the food was okay, but it was a headache to find parking near the hotel. It would be nice if they had a dedicated lot or parking structure nearby for guests. |

11/09/2015 4:30 pmMy husband and I were gifted a night at the historic Ashton for our wedding night this past weekend and wow was it a massive disappointment! The staff had been alerted several times that it was our wedding night and the other guests in the lobby were more congratulatory than any of the staff, and I was still wearing my wedding gown. We checked in and requested that champagne flutes and to-go boxes be brought up to condense our leftovers so they would fit in the mini fridge. We got up to the room and looked around and got confused about what was complimentary, since they had prices posted for thir snack baskets and bottled beverages, so we touched nothing. We waited on the flutes and boxes, and waited, and waited... We filled up the jacuzzi while we waited, and had the hardest time with the antiquated jacuzzi panel and never quite figured it out. After STILL WAITING an hour and a half for our flutes and boxes, we had to call down to remind them of our request. We finally had someone bring us flutes and a bottle of champagne, which we refused to pay for. Then we discovered that the television did not work, and my husband found the word "BAD" written on the back of the TV. We called down to let them know, and all they could do was give a measly $30 refund for the TV not working. The morning after, we chose to not indulge in the $20 per person breakfast menu, and left as soon as we could. We would have been treated better had we stayed at a La Quinta or holiday Inn. Do not waste your money on this overpriced, yuppie hotel that can't be bothered with providing even remotely acceptable service. |

10/08/2015 12:34 amThe valet and lobby staff were great but the cleaning staff needs training. Our bathroom was visibly dirty. There were spots on the full-length mirror in the bathroom, previous guest's hair on the wall, what appeared to be lotion spots splattered on the wall, and visible streaks of things on the walls in the bathroom. One of the pillows on the bed had a long brown hair on it as well. We would have went somewhere else if we would have gotten our money back. Luckily, I travel with Clorox wipes and spray. Admittedly, I felt icky sleeping in the bed even after spraying. I took pictures of everything and will upload to sites that allow attachments. |
