Aspen Social Club, New York, New York, American Restaurant Details

Food:

Interesting atmosphere for the city. Good cocktails. Poor table set up for five people. Questionable service.....several servers waiting on us at once. Entrees arrived before the first course. All were returned to the kitchen and sat under a heat lamp until we finished our appetizers.....which further ruined my already over seasoned steak. Price wise, there are plenty of restaurants in midtown with better food and service. The only pleasant thing about my meal was the company which I provided myself.

Food:

Its a cool vibe, nice space, decent happy hour. But prepare to wait a very long time to get your drinks and or if you decide to order any bar bites. On the several occasions that I have been there, I have waited 45 minutes for fries or margarita....

I've been to Aspen social for two private events - one was great and the other was "meh". The first event was a formal event and we went for the purpose of a nightclub. In this department, Aspen did not disappoint. The music was great - danceable and a variety of artists was played. The food served was just okay (buffet style), and the service itself was pretty good especially considering it was an open bar with a hundred drunk college students. On the other hand, the second event was a brunch. They did not have our table set up on time, and once it was ready they would not let us sit until the girl who made the reservation was present. This meant about 40 girls were just standing around Aspen hovering over the table at which we were not allowed to sit. Overall, atmosphere is great but I would much rather spend my time here as a club patron rather than a restaurant customer.

Food:

Apparently I went to Aspen on a "dead night" there was literally 5 people there. Granted it was a Thursday. The security guy was really nice and he recommended we come back on Friday or Saturday.

Wasnt a good first experience but I would try it again.

Great place, went for a friend birthday on a Friday night (yesterday lol) and it was awesome. The drinks were NY status when it came to pricing around 12 for mixed drinks and 9 for a beer crazy prices for this college kid but good the drinks were good enough to have me getting more. The food I gave a good because I didn't have any food. Place it self has a really cool the layout the dance floor in the back and a convenient second bar back there as well. The MUSIC! The music was really good especially as we were trying to leave and couldn't because the good joints kept coming on. Well that's it good place to go and have a good time and good parking right in front of the place if you drive and close to a train if you need one.
