01/22/2016 4:34 amWe've been coming to this place since 2002 and are never disappointed. We always order the veggie combo and tea. We've occasionally had the lamb as the owner slaughters his own meat, according to Coptic Orthodox Canon Law. He is almost always there to welcome us and we've enjoyed getting to know him over the years. We've tried other places, but none are as good as Assimba. Here's to many more years! |

08/03/2015 7:51 pmThis was my first experience trying Ethiopian food, the pretty lady serving us last Saturday 08/01/2015 was so friendly and pleasant to talk to. The food was delicious, we ordered the Veggie platter with Dora bott. (I hope I said that correctly.) It was a very nice food experience. |

05/28/2015 11:45 pmI absolutely love Assimba's Ethiopian dishes and friendly staff. I've always been greeted with friendly smiles and delicious, savory/spicy meals. A must restaurant to visit! |

07/26/2011 3:58 amWent for my first time today- the restaurant was impeccably clean and the staff was very friendly. And the food was unbelievably tasty, and, not to mention... gluten-free! Talk about a score! Their injera (pancake-like bread) is made from teff, which means I could chow down hard core on it and feel no remorse. The meal was perfectly spiced (I am ever-so-picky), and neither over- nor under-salted. A must-try for any fans of ethnic cuisine. |
