Atlantic Stands, Ocean City, Maryland Restaurant Details

I've been going here since I started going to Ocean City. Every year we would go to Ripley's and then meet afterwards for a bite to eat here--we still do. Its basically your stereotypical food shack making American classics right on the boardwalk. We liked to grab a table with an umbrella, but instead this year we ate on the diner bar because all of the umbrellas were gone (why?). Service isn't as fast as it could be, nor as slow. The location is key, as its right by Jolly Roger amusement park and right in the mix of people walking around in the boardwalk. Read: great people watching. The burgers here taste fresh and are made well, even if they're just plain hamburgers otherwise. Their fries are good, but of course they don't measure up to Thrashers right down the boardwalk; but then again, their prices on fries don't start at $5 for a small bucket. Their milkshakes are thick and flavorful. They seem to try to ration you on ketchup packets, but that seems to be an old Ocean City thing as I've seen it elsewhere. There is vinegar readily available though, another local thing. All in all there isn't anything else to say: this is classic Americana and its where I go every year. Give it a shot if you're hungry in this area!

Worst food ever plus if you eat inside-millions of flies...we paid for 3 cheese steak subs, 3 sodas and fries around $55-60...but taste was terrible…I wouldn’t go back even for free…
