Atlas Grill, Minneapolis, Minnesota Restaurant Details

In regards to their catering/cash bar services, Atlas Grill is a total joke and Ken Cole, the catering manager is a complete fraud. We were considering using them for cash bar services for our wedding at the Semple Mansion and within our contract with Semple, all bar set up fees, bartender fees, etc were already covered and paid for. Ken tried telling me he was going to charge an additional $3000 minimum to "Make sure his guys get paid, this is a business after all." I appreciate a for profit business but since the bartenders would have already been paid, I find this fraudulent and a scam. He also put in his unwelcome two cents about where to hold our wedding events because "Getting a keg upstairs is really a hassle, especially getting it around tables and chairs" I suggested the elevator but that still seemed too challenging. If getting a keg in an elevator and around a few tables is too hard, then I believe they are in the wrong industry. When I followed up with him on these issues I never got a reply. Save your money, time, and frustration and look elsewhere.

I choked in this restaurant yesterday, and not one employee came to my aid. I was near death, and thankfully my sister saved me with the heimlich manuever.

I choked on my first bite of food, their steak sandwhich. My sister had not even touched hers. The staff just stood there watching me choke on their food. After my sister was able to dislodge the food, and it took minutes for me to catch my breath, the waitress came over to make sure we were going to pay for our food. She told me "Its not our fault we made the sandwhich right. We've never had anyone choke here before." So with that she made sure I paid full price for meal (which her manager concurred with). He didn't even stop by to make sure I was okay.

The staff didn't even ask if I was okay, apparently my choking was an inconvience to them. I would NEVER step foot in this place again, for fear of my life that no one there is trained or cares about their customer's choking.
