Favorite restaurant in philly for amazing food, reasonable prices, and cheerful down to earth wait staff who are just the right amount of friendly. Reservations on weekdays, expect a wait on weekends but it's well worth it. BYOB, across the street is food and friends which has a wide selection of beer. Also cash only! And outside seating is nice, it can get loud inside.

Do your best to come here only during slow periods, it's very small, loud, dark, and the seats are setup to where there may only be a few inches between patrons' tables. The food was reasonably priced for the interesting dishes provided, it's also a BYOB. The problem I had besides the venue was service. We waited over 5 minutes to be seated during a particularly slow time. We weren't greeted, the servers looked at us directly and ignored us despite coming within a few feet of us. Minimally, servers should greet their paying customers... Further, they were not very professional. It seemed one server was the talking one and the other would just bring dishes out, the second one wasn't familiar with how to clear or place dishes and almost had an accident at our table despite carrying one small dish and waiting for us to clear space for him. The primary server was distant, at best, and would hardly refill your water even beyond 10 minutes or check on you, and the secondary server was passive aggressive. When I went to pay the bill the secondary server informed me they only accept cash or check (in 2015, no less), and that I need to go to the small market across the street to the ATM for cash on our $80+ bill. Okay, fair enough, but there are no signs and no one informs you of this before you sit and spend a ton of money of a meal. He retorted that it was in the menu and walked away. Real professional staff here. Food was decent but I expect to be treated with respect and I'd you don't accept credit cards like everyone else, put up a sign and inform people prior to their eating at your establishment. Also, please send your staff to a day of training, they are the reason I'll never return. I could overlook the other things, but to spend a good chunk of change on a meal only to have some petulant child ruin your time there after, really leaves me uneasy about having much good to say about this place.

Over rated is an understatement. Horrible service, sub par food, and some obnoxiously loud customers. 8 plastics at a table were so loud that you couldn't hear the people at your own table. The staff ignored everyone else's complaints about the table and did nothing. Once a gentleman at the table next to me asked the table politely to not be so loud, they began to yell and give him the finger. Very classy ladies. Still, nothing was done by the staff that were all 3 feet away from the table. What pissed me off the most is that when I stuck up for the man and said they were being obnoxiously loud, a staff member asked me not to yell... Apparently he hadn't heard them yelling for an hour before that. Eventually we lost our appetite, along with our hearing, and got the check and a manager. He said he "hadn't noticed." He was obviously deaf or sleeping with one of them. Highly unprofessional to let that happen and make the rest of the customers extremely unhappy. Never again. Beware of Audrey Claire.

Pretty awesome experience. We went there with a local, who loves it there. It was evidently ‘restaurant week’ in Philly while we were there so not sure what the menu is typically like. For this particular week it was a prix fixe menu, I think there were 5 appetizer selections and 5 or 6 entrees.
Appetizers: grilled shrimp were incredible. Perfectly cooked, savory sauce to spice them up little. Fresh pear and gorgonzola flatbread with sunflower seeds was wonderful, bread was light, a great combination of flavors and textures. (I confess I can’t remember the 3rd, but it was good!)
Entrees: I had the pork chop which was a generous double chop, roasted to perfection. Topped with a light, complimentary sauce, sautéed asparagus on the side. Portabella mushroom pasta dish was lovely, plenty of mushrooms on a bed of wide flat noodles, buttery sauce. Seared Ahi Tuna was perfectly done also, a light breading, nice and hot on the outside, cool and wonderful inside.
Desserts: evidently as part of the prix fixe menu, the restaurant decides what to serve you for dessert. We got a ‘lava’ cake, wonderfully chocolaty and dense, superb cinnamon rice pudding and a fabulous creme brûlée. Above and beyond delicious! (we actually got a 4th dessert, a small portion of a light, cleansing something with some fresh blackberries).
Service was good, attentive and friendly.
Again, not being a Philadelphia-ite, I was surprised that a restaurant of this caliber doesn’t really have a bar or wine list—it’s BYOB. Also, it’s cash only, which is fairly prominent on the information for the restaurant, but I didn’t pick it out and was unaware of the policy until I pulled out my credit card!
We sat outside, the weather was perfect for it. The inside seemed a little cramped and definitely loud.
Overall, a great accomplishment, my hat’s off to Audrey Claire (and my fork is ready to return!).

I was visiting from out of town and really thought the atmosphere seemed great when we walked in, however the attitude of the staff quickly changed my opinion. Our waitress QUIT our table after we explained to her we had 6 in our party rather than the 7 in our reservation. The extra person was the difference between a preset and regular menu. We found small black hairs in the Pear pizza that was served to us. Rather than apologize for something so disgusting on our plate the manager just took the dish away and didn't mention anything again. The service and food were not worth the price of the entrees. I would definetely not recommend.
