It's okay, I liked it better when it was self serv, and there should be three dollar signs not two. It's a little expensive for us. Don't like paying for pretentious hipster kitsch at breakfast time.

Great down to earth place & people. Great healthy food. Wish to see more vegan selection. Good start for health reform which humanity needs
The personnel try their best to serve but obviously can not please everyone.

There are different cupcake sizes here. They have regular and mini sizes. I prefer the mini sizes because the regular sized cupcakes tend to be too much and I have to eat those cupcakes in a couple sittings. Great!

Great place and great service! Their staff is polite and punctual and really put together. Cupcakes are really really good. Might even be worth the wait.

My teenage daughter and I come here often for breakfast, lunch and cupcakes. We like the nearby Occidental College hipster vibe. The servers are very cool and friendly. Portions are perfect with Farmers' market salads, freshly made soups, quiche and hearty sandwiches. I love the grilled seeded bagel topped with Wagon Wheel cheese, grilled tomatoes and scrambled eggs. A side of freshly made salsa is terrific to place on top.

Terri Wahl, owner and executive chef of Auntie Em’s Kitchen in Eagle Rock was a lead guitarist of the all-girl acclaimed punk rock band the Red Aunts. She lives near the restaurant now and has her own garden and chickens. She gathers the eggs and brings them into Auntie Em's. At the end of the day, she takes the scraps from the restaurant’s kitchen and throws them into the chicken coop. Later she turns the rich compost into a pile in her backyard and spreads it into her garden.

Wahl just published - The Auntie Em’s Cookbook: A Musician’s Guide to Breakfast & Brunch is the first cookbook by Wahl fuses her passions for food and music with a song pairing for each seasonal breakfast, brunch and dessert recipe. The cookbook is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble online, and independent bookstores nationwide.

"Arty locals line up" for this "funky" inexpensive "Eagle Rock institution" dishing out "creative", locally sourced American "comfort food", including "swell" breakfasts, "phenomenal" sandwiches and "top-notch" cupcakes; the vibe is "friendly and upbeat", but be ready to roll with a "divey-cafe" atmosphere.
