Non smiling staff, chewing gum stuck under table, charged us for a bit of mustard for our steak that was overcooked , at least dick Turpin wore a mask when he robbed people, like eating in a canteen, wakey wakey ,get it sorted, also had to ask for salt and pepper that was not on any table, complete joke, not good for the Vegas image,

Three stars. tl:dr version: Great food, excellent wine, accommodating staff. HOWEVER, inadequate staffing for the number of customers, long wait times, overall not worth the money for the headache. You can definitely skip this restaurant. Long version below.

The Good: The food is amazing and worth the price if you're doing a special evening out (we were celebrating my sister's job promotion). Note, the FOOD is worth the price- the overall experience detracted greatly from this. Excellent wine selection and we were able to settle on a wine that everyone liked and that didn't break the bank (2 of us liked red, 1 of us wanted white. We went with rose and it was perfect). The restaurant was very accommodating when I called in advance to change our reservation time because our Big Bus Tour ran late. They were able to provide us with a new reservation for 8:15pm. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very nice and the staff was pleasant. This brings us to the "bad."

The Bad: We arrived 15 minutes early for our 8:15pm reservation and we were seated at...9:15pm. A full hour past our reservation time. Thank goodness for the bar downstairs to keep us occupied but there's only so much drinking you can do when you're waiting for an hour to be seated properly for dinner. If we had known that we would be waiting so long, we would have just left and gone elsewhere instead of waiting at the bar.

It took quite an effort to get the bartenders' attention to get our check, as it was. To their credit, they did check on our reservation several times to try and see why it was taking so long. They certainly didn't have to do that, so credit where credit's due. They didn't know what the hold up was either.

We were finally seated, ordered our wine, and then...we waited another 20 minutes before we got some bread to nibble on. At this point, we felt a bit bad getting up and leaving because we'd placed an order, so we toughed it out and stayed. I had to ask for water. The server forgot to even give us water! We were still considering getting up and leaving at that point but my sister, for whom this was a celebration, liked the atmosphere and wanted to stay, We also did not receive our wine until I reminded a different server (there were two for each table or something) that we'd ordered. This was also 20 minutes after we sat down and ordered. Miraculously, the wine arrived almost immediately after I asked after it. Still, why am I having to remind our servers about water and wine?

And then we waited another 15-20 minutes for one single appetizer that did not come with enough bread. If I'd known there wouldn't be enough bread, I would have saved some of the bread that they gave us to nibble on in the beginning! After more waiting, I'd say about 20 minutes, out came our food and some coffee. Thankfully, the appetizer, food and coffee were fantastic and almost made up for the absurd amount of waiting and forgetful server.

My verdict: My sister enjoyed herself and felt it was worth it, so that's what matters in the end. Personally, I would recommend skipping Aureole and selecting another fine dining experience because the headache was not worth the price. I think they had some convention-goers (looked like SAP) and not enough staff for their customers.

In the end, it was a very bad look and I hope they sort out their staffing issues in the future. Their food is great and the atmosphere is great- waiting an hour and having your server forget you is not great.I would have given this 4 or 5 stars and visited this restaurant again if not for the bad outweighing the good! I gave it 3 stars because the food and wine is excellent and my sister enjoyed her dinner.

I was furious this place is horrible. They say 11 I got there at ten just to find there bar was only open and kitchen was closed. I drove 45min trying to get here and spent another 15 minutes trying to find parking for nothing our tab would have been over 300.00 F them

Went for happy hour. Drinks were mixed ok. We ordered all of the $8 sample plates. Overall the food was very fresh and cooked perfectly. Everything tasted great. Wouldn't say it was outstanding but was worth the visit.
