The pho here is just as bad as it is good.

I am a huge fan of pho and have tried it all over the state. The other day, it was lunch time and I was in search of some good pho close to my location. Teriyaki and Pho popped up on Yelp so I ran over to check it out.

This place has a plethora of Japanese menu items and they all looked very very good. So good, that I almost didn't order the pho but in the end, My craving won out.

You get three choices. Beef, chicken or pork. There are no other fancy options like tripe or brisket etc... and there is only one size too. I chose the beef.

The first thing that I noticed when my bowl arrived is that they added all of the garnishments to my bowl instead of serving them on the side like every other place that I have gone. They put the lime, rind and all in my bowl. The jalapenos, sprouts and basil stalk and all too. I don't know about you but I normally don't eat the basil stalk and I suppose it's a good thing that I like all of the garnishments because I didn't have to dig them out of the bowl like I did the lime to squeeze and discard the rind. They also add cilantro to the bowl which was different but not bad.

The next thing that I noticed was that the broth was dark brown in color. I am used to my pho coming in clear broth so that leads me to wonder if the broth here is prepared in the traditional way or if they use some sort of beef stock or something. Whatever they use, it was still good. The beef however was very tough and overcooked and the noodles were undercooked and super chewy.

For a Japanese restaurant, the pho wasn't too bad but it wasn't really good. It served it's purpose and satisfied my craving but If I ever visit again, I think I'll try the teriyaki chicken instead of ordering the pho.

Thanks for reading.

Best teriyaki chicken I've ever had! Free soup, huge plates, good prices, delicious food, great service! Just wish it was closer to home so I could come more often!

Horrible Customer Service!!!
I have come here several times and it has been fine and today I called in an order and ordered bbq pork fried rice which costed $17 dollars which is awefully expensive, i thought. So I paid it and took my food home. Thank god I only live a few blocks away. I noticed I got some kind of stringy beef when I ordered bbq pork fried rice you know the pork with the red stuff. So I went back and asked for bbq pork fried rice and they said they didn't have it. So they asked me several times what I wanted and I said several times just regular fried rice no meat. I have had this fried rice several times so I know what it's supposed to be. As I waited for my money back because I know fried rice without meat should not cost as much as fried rice with meat and they said it was the same price, I was sick of arguing so I just said okay I just want my food. So they came out with my new order of fried rice I opened it up and it had broccoli onions and just a bunch of stuff that normally does not come in the fried rice that I have had there several times. So I went back in and said this is not what I ordered and I repeated myself that I would like regular fried rice no meat please and let them know that thier fried rice does not normally come with broccoli because it hasnt had any of those ingredients the other 5 times I have ordered it. The cooks got angry with me and then started to argue saying that's what they're fried rice was and I said no i have had it before. So i reapted what i wanted again, just regular fried rice no meat. The cooks had smirks on their faces and made another pathetic excuse as fried rice again, which was basically white rice with a few burnt peas , so finally I gave up and I ask for my money back I will never return there again because of how I was treated if they would have made it right then I would have been happy to give them my business.
