I can not believe that this sort of incident ever happened in my life. As an avid foodie, I enjoy going to various restaurants; however, I have never had my credit card overcharged (the tip amount, thus the total was over $10). Once I found out, I called the general manager. He said he would take a look at the receipt and call me. Well, he didn't next day. So I called the restaurant, and one of the employees there told me that the manager was out sick. He asked me to give him my credit card information so that they can refund the difference, as the manager acknowledged their fault in processing the bill. The fund was suppose to be deposited earlier this week, and it hasn't yet. So I have to call there again... What a hassle.

I visited this restaurant few times before but last Saturday it was dissapointing. The bread come at an extra cost and the portions were very small. There are some Greek restaurants in Atlanta and Avra defenately lacks its uniqueness.
It is not outstandingly luxerious nor offers portions or dishes that are bigger or better.
The interior of the restaurant is just o.k, the check at the end might turn out very pricy for what you get.
This might be the last time I went.
My suggestion: Avra needs to distinguish itself somehow. If it offers small portions, has a very normal interior but ius expensive, then I am not sure why guests will return. Maybe its location is a magnet. It is the only Greek in Midtown. I believe you get much more for your money if you go to Buckhead to Plaka or Kyma. Both restaurants stand for something- Plaka is informal, vibrant and cheaper, Kyma very upscale. Avra just mediocre!

The food was awesome here and the service was very good as well. I had the gyro platter and my boyfriend had the chicken kabob and we were basically licking the plates. They have a really good variety of authentic greek dishes that anyone would love. They have great Greek wines that go great with the food as well as a great bar. Our server was very helpful at suggesting good foods and did a great job. I would recommend to anyone. Price is alittle bit more on the expensive side, but its worth it!
