Sometimes the simple things are the best things. The bread is always fresh and the service is always good. The classic pastas at Azio, like the spaghetti bolognese, are absolutely delicious and are among my favorites. The tiramisu is also pretty good. Unlike some of the other restaurants in the downtown area, my experience at Azio has never been dependent upon how busy the restaurant is or is not. Regardless of when I go, the level of service is the same and that is one of the things that keeps me coming back.

Just had lunch here.. Decided to write this really quick right away.

It's a Friday, lunch reservations were for 1:30p. The restaurant was not full, there were maybe 5 other tables besides ours.

Service: We were promptly greeted at the entrance and reservations were acknowledged. After being seated, our drink orders were taken and bread was provided. The we waited...waited... waited...Hmmm did we even order drinks... waited... O there they are. Then we ordered, then waited... waited... waited.... Then one plate appears and its wrong. It was a panini instead of a wrap but my coworker says. "I don't want to wait any more so I will just eat it." Then we wait... Then three more plates appear. The salmon special ordered by a coworker came with the wrong sauce. She didn't ask for it to be anything special the chef just actually forgot how it was supposed to be prepared. Luckily my coworker just didn't care. So we ate in peace. Then we wait.. wait... there is not a waitress insight, no one checks on us... then we flag her down to get to-go boxes and the bill. Then come more damn waiting. Not enough boxes so we wait longer then the bill and extra box come out. So yeah, she was a nice waitress and had the gift of gab but I can't blame her for the hold up on the food nor the chef mistakes.

Food: The good news - We were all pleased with our Americanized Italian dishes. The prices were good as well. I ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich with pasta salad. To be a lunch portion it was a huge serving. It was yummy especially the pasta salad.

Will I go back? Sure especially when my boss comes along. I love hanging out. :)

I ordered the Pesto Pappardelle. The pasta that I got was a little too al dente for me. I am pretty sure egg noodles are to be cooked a little softer than other pastas. In any case, fresh pasta was used but there were several pieces that felt like they were left out and dried out before cooking.

I would recommend sticking with the pizza that my girlfriend ordered. It was very delicious with fresh and flavorful ingredients.

The wine selection was plentiful yet overpriced along with the cocktails.

The service was great. Out waiter was very attentive and even refilled the bread without asking.

The food was not seasoned at all. Quality was worse than a chain restaurant. I've had way better for a cheaper price. The service and atmosphere was great but food I would not recommend.
