After making us wait a half hour just to get the ticket, we tipped 8%. The cashier added to the tip on the submission to the bank!!!

Watch this place for credit fraud. They ran my card twice, and my friends' card three times.

While dealing with the bank was a hassle, it is frustrating as they said we had to fight the restaurant to get the transaction reversed. While trying to resolve the overcharge, restaurant manager had convenient non existent English, can't understand what you want us to do.

No, we don't want a gift certificate.

Don't ever, ever order the diablo shrimp soup, or whatever it is. It's pretty much a bowl of nacho cheese with shrimp pieces and served with a side of saltines. Ugh. Shiver worthy.

A run-of-the-mill texmex chain. Nothing about the food is good enough to draw me back.

I have gotten lunch at the Ballard Azteca many times over the past few years as I work closeby. In fact, I have been to numerous Azteca restaurants in my life with no major complaints. I know authentic Mexican food in Seattle (i.e. Mr. Villa, Taqueria Matamoros, La Carta de Oaxaca) and I am WELL aware Azteca aint it. That really is beside the point since my main reason for going there is convenience. My problem is, almost every time they get SOMETHING wrong. Specifically, the last two times I went (including today) I asked for blue cheese dressing for my salad and got ranch. Also, there was no cheese in my tortilla soup - which is normally quite fantastic BTW. Anyway, just wanted to put my 2 cents in. The food is usually above average, but the attention to detail? Thats another story. Will I stop going here? Probably not.
