Although I have passed the door to "Azure" at least a hundred times in the past year alone, we dined there for the first time on September 20, 2007. I was not prepared to be so overwhelmed. Fine dining is something we do frequently on a national and international level. And so, we tend to be a bit on the picky side without being unnecessarily critical. I hasten to add, though, that I have never taken the time to write a review before ... never! But, walking out of "Azure" last week left me a little bit speechless. This food was absolutely extraodinary. The atmosphere was conducive to quiet conversation and yet it was buzzing with excitement. The wine list was complete and the service was attentive but never fussy ... a perfect combination, in my opinion. "Azure" is a gem, folks! If you have not had the oportunity to dine here and you have something "special" on the horizon, look no further than this restaurant in the Lenox Hotel in Boston.
