04/21/2015 5:51 amFalafel from heaven and other cheap, delicious Israeli eats offset the dumpy decor at this Hell's Kitchen hole-in-the-wall; just don't expect a warm welcome – the short-tempered owner is the neighborhood's favorite curmudgeon. |

03/25/2015 2:25 pmVery good place. Great hummus and Falafel but the owner was rude to me.I really liked the food, so I decided to order take out and while paying my check asked for another order. The owner answer to me was "I don't have time for you now, come later." I was literally shocked and wished him to have a great day. |

11/13/2014 8:09 pmRude service & average food makes this place not worth it. I tried to order on their website and when I didn't get a confirmation, I called to check on the order status. First time I called, the person who answered immediately hung up on me. Upon calling back, the guy said I have to order more than $20 next time. I told him that I did order $20, as their website requires. He said, 'doesn't matter, it has to be "way more"'. Now I don't know what "way more" means, but the rude behavior is unwarranted. And if they want large orders, they should change the minimum delivery amount. The food is nothing special. And just because its Kosher doesn't mean you can be rude to customers. There are other Kosher places you can get falafal in the area. I cancelled my order with disgust at their lack of service and rude behavior. Won't order again. |

04/24/2014 3:57 pmCalled and asked who certified his kashrut. The guy lies to me and tells me OU. I walk there only to find a no name, sketchy certification. I confront him, but he's nonplussed. |

03/14/2014 10:52 amAbsolutely the best falafel I've ever had. Truly outstanding. Reasonable prices. Very much a no-frills place, very small inside. Worth the visit, a hidden gem. Cash only if under $20. |

10/03/2013 1:42 pmHole in the wall and a two man show basically sums up this place. BUT if your main focus is to grab a delicious meal, it's a great show indeed. Speaking of shows, if you've ever watched Seinfeld this place is not too different from the Soup Nazi with regard to service. If you go in with that attitude, you'll enjoy the atmosphere. Just place your order for a falafel or Gyro and move over. Or else no falafel for you! |
