I was really looking forward to this place but our whole group walked out before receiving our food (1st time I have ever done this) b/c the manager (who was also bartending) was rude, inappropriate, egotistical, and absolutely ruined our evening. We were disgusted with how he spoke to us. The restaurant will not last long with him there. Simply appalling. Do not go there!
Thankfully our evening was salvaged by enjoying ourselves at Bravo Bistro - a wonderful friendly place. We had a blast there.

Our family had a very enjoyable dinner experience here. The kids ordered a "Do it yourself" kids pizza. The waiter brought out all the ingredients to make a pizza and then took the creation back to be cooked. Aside from this, we ordered a round of drinks and had an excellent tiramisu for dessert. Food was reasonably priced and the atmosphere is great.

I went to Bada Boom on 07/19/08, and what a waste of money. The restaurant was SO hot ... normally, I get cold very easily, so I always take a sweater with me to restaurants. It was so stuffy; our party of 11 was sweating. We paid $16 for a dish with noodles, five pieces of shrimp and oil. Not very good food in general...not to mention it was WAY overpriced for the quantity we received. The bread they serve is cold and not fresh, and they don't give you much. Also, we all had empty water glasses most of the night as our server -- whose tip was included in our bill -- was very unattentive. Water is rule #1 of serving, and we were left thirsty.

Granted: The name is awesome, and the atmosphere is neat with GIANT booths and red-velvet walls. But the Elton John and Sixpence playing in the background pretty much ruined the feeling of being in a "special" place.

There are so many restaurants in Phoenix that are much better than this place when it comes to atmosphere, food, value for your money and service.

I will not go there again (I went this time because it was a birthday party ... AND they charged us $8 for this TINY piece of tiramisu for the bday girl...when any proper restaurant would give you a free dessert!!).

Bad service. Okay food. Over priced. 22% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. 22%? Stick to the mom and pop places.
