Good bagels, not too expensive either.

I'm not much of a bagel snob. I think Panera bagels are decent, but not very good I really enjoy eating bagels though, and this was one of the better ones I've had. Lots of variety, a little chewy and doughy, good consistency. I recommend the jalapeño bagel!

Line was la the way to the back but they quickly expedited it and the service was quick, bagel was toasty and yummy!

Bagels Etc is a very quick and easy bagel shop in Dupont. I pretty much always get the same thing: BLT on an everything bagel. It only takes them a few minutes to take my order and make my sandwich which is very nice. The price used to jump around but now its steadied out around $5 and change. A bit overpriced for the small, chewy bagel (and you can get the same thing at Bethesda Bagel on Connecticut Ave for cheaper) but worth it for convenience. I also find their bacon less salty than Bethesda Bagel which is a plus. The everything bagels are well seasoned, but as I mentioned they're on the small side.

These are not great bagels. These are good bagels for DC, which has no actual great bagel joints - but they're certainly nothing to write home about.

Bagels, Etc. is a small, cramped places with one table, a sort of dirty sheen, & a laundry list of menu items, supplemented by handwritten signs all over the place. The staff is brusque & generally unfriendly, & you'd better know exactly what you want because they don't take kindly to questions. Still, they're likely to mix up your order by adding something you didn't ask for or forgetting something you did (or to go above & beyond, like the time my friend ordered a turkey-bacon breakfast sandwich & they gave him a breakfast sandwich with strips of bacon & slices of turkey!).

Bagels, Etc. is fine for a quick breakfast or lunch (though not if you're out of cash). It's fine, & it's usually fast. But it's nothing special.
