04/07/2014 2:18 pmMay not the fanciest restaurant but they sure do have the BEST seafood soup, in Spanish it is called "sopon marinero". Their fish paste is awesome, and tostones relleno with shrimp is scrumptious. The oysters are pretty good and affordable as well. Now anything else on their menus that I have tried has not been too good it was either too salty, or bland. But if you stick to the other things I mentioned you will be delighted... |

10/18/2013 9:14 amHad dinner at the Bahamas Fish Market in Miami. This place came highly recommended. However, I was quite disappointed The food was just average, service was acceptable. We ordered the Thursday Special "Arroz con Pescado" Yellow rice with fish. The fish was excellent, the rice was good, although soupy. The maduros seemed to have been reheated several times over and were soggy and tasteless, The service was just so-so fair. There seemed to be a foul odor, which I determined must have come from the nearby toilets; did not want to think it was the fish. Having said this, I will add that I would not recommend this place to anyone. However, if you choose you would like to try it anyway, just don't ask for a doggy bag to take leftovers home. They have the audacity to charge fifty cents per receptacle. If you ask to see the manager to complain about this, he/she does the best Houdini disappearing act I've ever seen. You could do better at Long John Silvers, or Red Lobster.. |
