I had Baja Burrito for the first time last night, after passing it multiple times on the way to Campus. There weren't that many options. I was thinking it might be compared to a Moes or Flaming Amys out of Wilmington. The flavors were real bland, and you did not have that many options to "dress up" your burrito. It was just basically chicken, cheese, guac, sour cream, rice with NO flavor whatsoever, and some salsa that was half decent. They put it in a bag with some chips, but they do not include salsa. So you basically have bland burrito with some random salty chips they decided to throw in there. For around 8 dollars, I could have got the stuff at Food Lion and made a better burrito. The staff seemed to be friendly, so thats a plus. I might give Baja Burrito another shot, but not anytime in the near future.

I came in with a coupon for free queso, so I got one of those and a veggie burrito. The overweight and not friendly guy at the register was not helpful and seemed annoyed that we were there. The queso was good, but they gave me a tiny tiny container and would have to charge me a $1 for another tiny container. I brushed if off, even though the only reason I went there was for the coupon. I then had a bite of the burrito. The veggies were soggy and had too much water and drenched my burrito to make the whole thing soggy. I threw it away it was so nasty. I wasted $20 and you will too. TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE FOOD. Stay far away.

There is a language barrier between the customers and the employees. My order is never right when I go there and I don't go that often. Also, the cashier used her bare hands to scoop cheese after she handled money. They always forget the salsa in which is an extra charge. I asked someone to bring me some salsa when I'm next door and they said they would call back me back. No one ever called back or seemed concerned whether or not I was satisfied as a customer. WRAL does a lot of business with Baja Burrito and all it would take was for the word to get out and it's a wrap. Maybe I need to notify the health department they way they handle food. I will never eat there again after seeing that! This definitely is NOT Mexican food. No flavor AT ALL.

My Favorite is the verde chicken. Their hot sauce has a great flavor in addition to a good heat.

Food is decent. Wouldn't say the rice is always well cooked or the meat is that fresh.. but It will do in a pinch. Odd thing is they won't take carry-out orders over the phone, and usually you have to wait 5-10 min just to get a burrito when you go to pick one up. It keeps me from spending my money there half the time as I don't like to wait for something so simple.
