Baker's Bakery, Cleveland, Ohio Restaurant Details

Unfortunately they're no longer at this location... Surprised to set for lease signs in the window, hopefully they are still open in Cleveland as they have the best date nut cake around.

My family has been purchasing Bakers Bakery date nut cake since the 50's we think it's the very best. There's no other cake frosting quite like theirs it's so delicious! As far as staff goes every time I have gone in they are not in your face asking questions, I guess you have to know what you want from them before you go in I'm sure most of their customers are returning ones. I wouldn't care how rude they are to me, as long as they give me my date nut cake!

Let me start by saying that I did not buy anything here. But let me explain.

I walked in at around 11am on a Saturday. There were three people in the store, all of whom ignored me completely. Although they had 4 or 5 pastry displays, only one had anything in it. The pastries looked old and dry, and I didn't see anything except muffins.

I'd been hoping to find cookies, but the staff was so unfriendly that I didn't bother asking. I simply turned and walked back out - but not quickly enough that I didn't hear them making fun of me as I left. "Stupid lady walked in the wrong store, surprised someone her size didn't clean us out."

Maybe I just saw this bakery at its worst, but how on earth do they stay in business?
