This Baker's Square Restarurant closed sometime late summer early autumn. It is now Scamblz a Breakfast- Lunch Restaturant

I haven't tried one of these restaurants before, didn't expect much, and was not disappointed. They did have wine, in 6 oz bottles, but no beer ... asked for Cabernet, got Merlot, but at least it was drinkable. Ordered a fajita pita, which was delivered in a soft taco, but tasty enough. Asked for fruit instead of fries, got a bowl with chunks of rather mediocre honeydew melon and cantaloupe. Service was good enough, but nothing to remark on. I didn't try the pies because the pictures were not inspiring ... thick crust, plastic looking slices. The facility also had a rather pronounced musty smell, but was attractive enough otherwise. As far as chains go, I would say a good bit less than Chili's, no quite up to Applebee's, Bennigan's, or TGI Fridays, perhaps more like Shoney's or Village Inn. Meal price was on the low side (about $15 including $5 for the wine), but then I didn't order much. It's generous to rate it average.
