Just a nasty greasy spoon hole in the wall with lousy service! When you have to put paper towels in the food to soak up the excess grease, there's a serious problem! Won't be back!

The food is sooo good, the pho, the combination fried rice and the shrimp rolls w/ peanut sauce but specially love the bahn mi. With that being said after a year of going there I've had a couple of experiences that l found lacking. On one occasion I went, asked for a bahn mi which is basically a vietnamese sandwich, and was told they were too busy to make it. Weird since its a sandwich but ok, I order something else. On the next occasion I get there at EXACTLY the time they open since I figured they wont be busy and can make a bahn mi and before i can even open the door, im told to come back in 20 minutes. I didn't. Most recently. I went around 11:00am, asked for a bahn mi and now I was told that bahn mi is served only in the morning. Wtf its 11:00? Overall my visits to Ba Le have gone from at least twice a week to attempting to get a bahn mi once every 3 months. I hate saying this because the old man handling the front end is really nice and it seems the wife (cook) gives him a really hard time. I am just stating facts :(
