Jacob & Amy, we love this place, we have been going there on and off for the last four years. Its usualy quite and somewhat romantic on a slow night. we usualy order the soup of the day (80% of there soup of the day is Awsome) The owner will even make a soup of the day by request once in a blue moon. As for streak, king cut prime rib, filet Mignon, Lamb, & Steak and Shrimp are usualy are nomal order, and think we only sent one back over the years, they did not refire it, they cooked a new one for us. We are alway greated warmly at the front door, never really wait only for anything. we spend about $35 to $65 a visit.

This place is for old people. Only ordered shrimp cocktail because nothing on menu looked good. No one in restaurant on Friday night scares me. Ordered red wine and it was served in wrong glass. Probably will never come back.

Food OK - Service terrible! We were visiting my husband's aunt in Largo. She loves prime rib as do I, so we tried Balla's. We were impressed when we got inside. The restaurant was very clean and the hostess greeted us warmly. Our waiter, however, was terrible. We were early and drinks were on 'happy hour' prices. We ordered our meal from the regular menu. I ordered the "King" cut of prime rib; my husband's aunt ordered the "Queen" cut. When the meals arrived I questioned what we got. Our waiter said he ordered both "King" cuts, although clearly mine was significantly smaller. It was clear to me that a mistake was made - no offer to rectify. When my husband's aunt ordered a second glass of wine, the waiter asked several times what she had. After repeating "white zinfandel" several times, he reappeared with white wine, dropped it off quickly and was not to be seen again. This nice lady did not want to complain. All in all, the food was not bad - good bread served with relatively tasteless herbed oil; good veggies. My husband said his steak was very good. Dessert (creme brulee) was so-so. We received our bill which showed that we apparently were charged full price for our drinks. The waiter ultimately gave us $3 in cash to cover the mix-up with the prime rib, and then gave us some sort of convoluted story about how the drink prices are averaged out on the bill ... sorry for the length of this review, but this was just one experience I would not want to repeat so we will not plan future visits to this establishment when visiting family!

Very Nice meal. The steaks were cooked as ordered (NY Strip and Rib Eye). Flavorful and tender. Waitress was attentive and helpful. Loaded potato was excellent, nice Merlot, wonderful bread and home made Apple pie. A very nice meal for a moderate price. The only downside was it is a little noisy, no carpet or drapes to quiet things down.
