Amazing food, but order an appetizer, good food takes forever to make.

This was my first time having Indonesian food (at least, that I can remember as an adult). I was here in a group of 7 and they gave us complimentary tempeh chips that were interesting in a good way. I ordered the beef rendang and my girlfriend had the opor ayam. I thought my beef was pretty good but the broccoli that came with it, although it tasted fine, seemed out of place. The opor ayam was way too salty for my girlfriend so we ended up swapping plates in the middle of the meal and it was pretty salty for me, too. But, you know, gotta be a good boyfriend and all that. We had no problems with the service or anything of that sort.

Food:

I was really impressed with their pad Thai. Most other places in Madison just have noodles, sauce, oil, and beansprouts as the base. Bandung adds more chopped spring onion, egg, and other essential components of good Thailand style Pad Thai. Highly recommended - can't speak for ambience or their other food as I ordered to go!

Terrible service; bad attitude from waiter especially if you go with kids. Waiter being rude by telling us to hurry up and leave because the restaurant is nearing closing time during the afternoon. Do not go here, avoid at all costs if you have kids and care about good service and not being forced to hurry up and finish your meal. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, WILL NEVER GO AGAIN AND SUGGEST YOU TO LOOK ELSEWHERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT GOOD SERVICE AND GOOD ATTITUDE!

Food:

We moved up from Chicago and have had a hard time locating a decent let alone good Pad Thai. The only place that comes close is Ha Long Bay until Bandung. This place is great! They have a solid beer list and the Indonesian food is even better than the Pad Thai. In the summer they have an outdoor patio you can eat on. If you are near willy st this is a great place that is likely overlooked.
