Want to have a drink at a bar and watch basketball?
Want to have a nice dinner with a special someone?
Are you tired after dragging your kids about Georgetown?
Want a free meal on your birthday?

Bangkok Bistro can accommodate all of you. The decore is very sleek and clean. There’s lots of outside seating. The hostess and the wait staff are very friendly and quite attentive without being intrusive. The menu had many choices, including Thai meals that are super spicy, not spicy in the least, and suitable for vegetarians. (I was particularly impressed that when my wife ordered an all vegetable meal, our server asked if she wanted the egg or egg-free version.)

We’ve had two happy experiences at Bangkok Bistro. We will be back.

I went to this place this past weekend after it was recommended to me by the Thai diplomats at the Thai embassy. I was very dissappointed. The pad thai was so oily! And my friends drunken noodles was also greasy. I had stomach pains the whole night and couldnt even sleep! Mai Thai in Old town is sooo much better!

I went here for dinner with a classmate last night and it was fantastic. M - TH they have a "sushi happy hour" until 6pm, so we got a ton of delicious, inexpensive sushi! The service was also excellent and very accommodating. The interior is lovely and the rest of the menu looks delicious -- I'll be going back soon to try other dishes.

While the food was good, Bangkok Bistro overcharged my credit card. I explicitly recall giving the driver a cash tip and not placing the tip on the credit card because the bill was pennies away from exceeding the budget--it was food for a non-profit dinner meeting--and I did not wish to have problems getting it reimbursed from the organization. Lessons learned: (a) leave room in the budget for a tip (b) do not order from Bangkok Bistro.

I was disappointed both with the quality of the dishes and the hasty and inattentive service. The dish I ordered, a ginger mushroom sautée, was swimming in a salty sauce and the mushrooms had a stale and funky taste. I couldn't finish it. Our wait staff seemed lost gave the impression that they did not care, even after they served us the wrong drinks. For what I paid, I would not recommend this place.
