02/28/2016 11:33 pmThe food was great, the server was very well with refills, etc. but it look over an hour for our bill. We had large party. It wasn't busy and we had two children. It was ridiculous and the manager was not willing to offer us anything. He basically said if the food was good and service was good, what is wrong? The fact that we waited for an hour after we ate our food to get our check. Some were wrong. It took an additional 15+ minutes to get all the bills paid. We should have been compensated somehow. We will not be returning to this one. Also, 3 times a waitress came out and said "here is someone's beer" we had never ordered beer. They don't seem to know what is going on there. It is a beautiful place and beautiful food I hope they can get their service better. |

02/15/2016 3:50 pmHonestly, I did not have any issues with the service. I went on a Thursday around 5 pm and sat at the bar. This may have been why I had better service. The draft beer selection was a little disappointing, but I do not know the demographic in Lyndhurst for craft beer, so that may explain the less exotic selection. My only two issues were with the food. First, it appeared as though the burger had shredded iceberg lettuce on it, as opposed to something with more flavor and substance. A lot of restaurants do this and I have never understood why, especially a place that is supposed to be more upscale. Although, the burger tasted good and appeared to be house made, as their menu indicates. Second, somehow half of my fries were firm and the other half were limp and greasy. Maybe they mixed fresh fries with old? They still tasted good, but more consistent doneness would be preferable. Based on my experience, I would eat there again if it were convenient. |

02/14/2016 11:26 pmI love Burtnwood Tavern, for the last 3 weeks the host found a reason not to seat us. Last week there was a 70 minute wait at 5:40 p.m. This week at 5:15 p.m. they were only seating reservations til 7:30 p.m. The restaurant was 60% empty. This was the managers orders. Apparently the manager would prefer no dollars than Happy Hour dollars. I find that i spend more at Happy Hour than at regular hours. |

02/05/2016 2:52 amService is absolutely terrible. There are only three or four servers who know how to treat guests & check up on their tables. There is a lack of communication between the servers & the hosts. Furthermore, the wait list is outdated and unorganized. The food is very good, but it is up to those who present the food to deliver the full dining experience. Bad service = bad dining experience. The so-called "20 disciplines" that this company "strives" to follow are unreal. There was a rush to get the restaurant open in the first place, which leaves room for ERROR and not enough teamwork and training. With organization and the implementation of a fluid system, this company can "strive". |
