Food:

Was always my favorite bar as an undergrad, hard not to like a place where you know 80% of the people there on a given night. Even post-grad, it's the place I'm most likely to run into old friends who are back in town for game day or some event. Easily the largest beer garden downtown. Bar itself is tiny and gets extremely crowded in cold weather.
Be warned, The Bar is very, very much a fraternity/sorority bar, so if you're looking for some thing other than that, you should go some place else.

Bad service, my vodka soda just tasted like straight soda. Go somewhere else...

This is by far my favorite bar in Lincoln. They have really good specials every day, great music, and the best beer garden in Lincoln. It's only 1 block from O street so you don't get the usual meat head/jersey chaser/30+ yr old perv who pretends to be a mid 20s perv that usually go to bars downtown. Get a "Walter Mondale" and thank me later...
