Food:

I only ate here because it was across from the City Beer Store and I was hungry. However, it was a very pleasant surprise. Each dish was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Definitely recommend.

This place has ruined me for any other Thai restaurant. The food here always is outstanding. Fresh , hot, excellent! I now compare any other place to this. And no one comes close. Noodle dishes are excellent.

Fancyyyyyyyy! A little more expensive than the other Thai places in the area, but definitely a good spot for a more formal lunch meeting. 2 floors, ambiance is nice, and wait staff are great.

Craving thai food one day, I decided on Basil. I called in an order and picked up our food 15 minutes later. I got take-out here the other day and ordered: Tom Yum, Pad Thai, Pad Se-ew, and Pak Rad Kang.

Tom Yum was tangy just how it's supposed to be. The only thing I didn't like about it was the oyster mushrooms in it. Otherwise, it was really good. The pad thai was different from what pad thai is normally like. It was wasn't as sweet. I probably wouldn't order this again. The pad se-ew was really good with big pieces of meat and chinese broccoli. The Pak Rad Kang was also yummy, but I didn't like the strange squash it came with. Overall, I would probably order from here again since it's conveniently nearby and pretty tasty.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city! This is usually one of my go to places for people visiting the city, Basil Thai has a calm but sophisticated atmosphere without going over the top. I'm comfortable going there in anything from a t-shirt and jeans to a full suit. The food is absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced. It's usually not so busy during the week that you need a reservation but it never hurts to make one anyways. The service is great as well and I've never been kept waiting very long. I'd highly recommend it!
