Love Baskin Robins ice-cream. Ten years ago all Baskin Robins closed in Southern Illinois. So when we travel and come across one, we must stop. The ice-cream is awesome however this location was horrible. First of all only 20 minute parking. The street was busy as heck and I didn't feel right baking up on it. Secondly the little girl clerk was insulting with her assumption that I wanted a double scoop in a waffle cone. Total $13. I am on the plus side, however I am not a hog, and didn't appreciate hr snippy attitude.

Now, don't get me wrong: I have been going to B&R since I was about 10 years old, which was in the mid 1960's. And their ice creams and their selection have always been good. My problem is that I am lactose intolerant, so my favorite flavors have always been their 'ice's'. Well, when I was 10, the local B&R (in Tucson,AZ) had Grapefruit Ice and Daiquiri Ice. Well, apparently, Daiquiri Ice has long been a favorite, because it is still there at all locations.

But, my problem is, they have discontinued all of their "ice" flavors, with the exception of a very few, and I would like to see them come back -- especially the citrus flavors: lime ice, mandarin orange ice; grapefruit ice; raspberry sorbet (ice), etc.

C'mon, B&R: have a heart for us lactose intolerant people. The prices have gone up a lot since I first started going there, and going to B&R is a treat. Just give those of us who can't eat dairy-based products a break!
